The peaceful present moment

When it comes to your emotions, be it anxiety, depression, guilt, anger etc. Your body will always try and go back to its familiar and predictable emotional past, if you’re not living in a state of awareness…In the peaceful present moment.

By that I mean, whenever you react automatically and unconsciously to your triggers, what happens is you’ve gone straight back to your familiar emotional past. You’ve gone back to the dominant thoughts, body feelings and emotions that your body has practiced feeling, repeating, and has remembered over your life.

When you reconnect with and believe and identify with those old, remembered, familiar feelings and emotions. Which really are nothing more than the chemical records of your past experiences that are being recycled in your body. Then your body, which is your unconscious mind, breathes a big sigh of relief. Its happy because everything feels familiar again. It feels right. It feels like ‘you’.

Your thinking, conscious mind may hate it. But your body is relieved, because you’ve gone back to your memorized state of being.

What this really means is, that your body, which is a record of your past is in control, not your conscious mind. Essentially that means you’ve lost your free-will to a set of programmed, unconscious responses and your no longer consciously aware and fully in control. So really, how your body feels, is controlling your thinking.

The work then, is in learning how to think greater than how your body feels and how to be the observer of your thoughts. The work is in teaching your body emotionally to find the peaceful present moment. And gently releasing those past and future emotions, which your bodyhas remembered and is often addicted to feeling.

If you learned how to gently settle and anchor your body and emotions into the safe present moment again and again throughout your day. Then your body would begin to trust the present moment and get used to a new, familiar, ‘normal’ way of feeling. And as a result, you would break-free from the conditioned response which has permanently altered your State of Being.

Your body would begin to release the anxiety it had memorized, and you would recondition your body to a new, more peaceful, calm and balanced state of being. It all starts with learning how to find the safe, peaceful and calm present moment. It all starts with finding – now.
