What Is Online Counselling?
As the name suggests, online counselling is typically done via the internet and is simply an alternative to tradition face to face counselling.
Counselling services are mainly offered via email, real-time chat, and video calls. In addition, standard phone counselling is also available.
Online counselling is easily accessible to everyone. Anyone with a computer, or a smartphone with a camera can access it.
Busy parents, those who live or work in remote and rural areas, shift workers and people with transport limitations can all benefit from online counselling. So to, people who are unable to leave their home due to caring for another person, a health condition or mental health diagnosis, can also easily access online counselling services.
The biggest advantage of online counselling is its flexibility and convenience. Another great advantage, is that online or phone counselling removes the pressure of visiting a counselling centre.
Anyone can access my anxiety counselling services, children, students, men and women and no diagnosis or doctor or other service referral is necessary.
When your appointment time comes, if possible, find yourself a quiet and private place to sit. Get ready 5-10 minutes before the session so that you can get comfortable and focused.
It’s important to understand that this is YOUR time. For you to get maximum benefit from your online or phone counselling session, never be afraid to ask me questions or ask me to speak louder or to repeat what I have said.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
